What are your thoughts on the Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar Player Pack?

I'm looking into buying my first electric guitar (preferably in a pack) and this one seems to be my best option right now. But I'm cautious and am wondering if any of you have had one of these and would like to tell me your thoughts on it. I haven't played that particular model, but I've played plenty of SGs, Gibson and Epi. They tend to have a good, fast feel, great for lead or rhythm, and fairly hot, clear tone. The amp won't satisfy you for long, but it'll be enough to learn on. The only major recommendation from me is to buy a good distortion pedal, because there's no footswitch with that amp and you definitely can't reach out and change from clean to distorted while playing. The Digitech Hot Head is cheap and good for rock, the Ibanez DS-7's also cheap and good for metal, and the Behringer Vintage Distortion is cheap and has that heavy Smashing Pumpkins fuzz tone.
