This Ibanez DN500 Electric Guitar has has a story all its own. I'll get to that soon. But more importantly, it provides the tools you need to wreak sonic destruction while all eyes are on you. This guitar is solid as a rock. The Ibanez Tight-Tune bridge and tailpiece were designed to lock down securely and prevent wobble or movement. Each string saddle is locked into the base plate and the entire bridge is anchored by stud bolts into the guitar body. Studs are also locked onto the base plate for maximum transfer of string vibration to the body. The system works like magic and makes for an extremely stable instrument. The PP1 neck and bridge humbuckers have tube pole-piece construction that offers quick response, sparkling clarity, and enhanced harmonics. A coil tap push-pull switch accesses single-coil mode adding more elements to your tone choices. Some coil tap pickups sound like a “Halfbucker” when in the tapped mode, but not here. All of the tones are full, balanced and very useable. The rosewood fretboard is outfitted with 22 perfectly polished medium frets and has unique "checkerboard" inlays. The neck, headstock, and body have multi-ply bindings and pearloid trim. Here's this guitar's story... My supplier goes nuts on one guitar each month. For your consideration is my Ibanez ArtStar AS 120 Semi Hollowbody guitar and Original Ibanez case. This guitar in excellent condition and sounds wonderful. The neck is as straight as an arrow and is easy to play up and down the neck. Very nice Mother of Pearl/Abalone inlays and the frets are like untouched condition. The color of the guitar is a "translucent" red and is beautiful. Looks a full dark red from a distance and more translucent the closer you are to the guitar. I believe the pickups to be Super 58's. Although some during this time frame were getting the new Custom 58's installed. Either pickup is a very good combination with this guitar. I would describe these humbuckers as "HOT" because they are very responsive and loud. This guitar is very simular to the ES 335 body style. The neck and front/back body binding has turned the vintage aged yellow/cream color with adds to its beautiful initial appearance. The case is in excellent condition with the case locking key. The latches are tarnished alittle but work all the same. Action is low to medium and the strings are new. The fretboard is rosewood and in excellent condition. I would rate this guitar a 9.8 on a scale of 10 with 10 being the highest in regards to its overall condition. The binding on the front side of the guitar between the top horn and neck has a hairline crack which I had to look very hard to find. Normal for a guitar this age. All original with zero modifications. You will not be disappointed in this guitars appearance and performance. Adult owned/cared for. Non smoking home. Never abused. This is a beautiful Ibanez RG1420 Prestige electric guitar. It is used, but in "like new" condition--the only signs of wear are some light scratches on the body that occured when I had the stock humbuckers replaced. This guitar originally came with Ibanez V6 humbuckers in both positions (which sounded dull and muddy), and I had them replaced with a Dimarzio Evolution at the bridge, and a Dimarzio Fred at the neck. Needless to say, this guitar SCREAMS with all the monster tone you could ask for out of a guitar built for rock. The clean tones sound beautiful as well, and with a 5-way selector switch, you have a very wide range of tones to choose from. I've never had any issues with this guitar--the only reason I'm selling is because I've fallen in love with a Kramer guitar, and decided to sell this to fund the new one. I got this brand new for 700 bucks. That was the price with the stock pickups (which weren't nearly as good as what's in there now) and a gig bag. Instead of the gig bag, I am including a hardshell Ibanez case, and you get the awesome Dimarzio pickups, which weren't cheap. This is a very rare guitar (only 120 were made), so with the included upgrades, I believe that 650 dollars is a very fair asking price, which, with a 50 dollar shipping fee comes to an even 700 dollars.
