Changing electric guitar pickup configuration?
Hi. I was wondering if it was possible to change my SSS pup configuration on my American Stratocaster to an HSS pup configuration. Is there any risk involved and is it even possible?It can be done, and fairly easily, depending on how your guitar is routed.Under the pickguard there are holes for the pickups to fit in. Depending on when your guitar was made, it may have what's known as a 'bathtub' route or individual routes for each pickup.Most will have a larger route near the bridge for a humbucking pickup. Read ALL PLEASE. Squire II strat for sale! This guitar is an awesome beginner axe. It is cherry red Has an humbucker, single single configuration. Guitar looks and sounds incredible! However, it has a blemish on the underside of the body. Some paint has chipped away. This does not affect the sound or playability of the guitar at all. The chip gives it some rock n roll personality. It comes with a fender Case. Case is in ok shape.. One latch is a little tricky, but it is solid and will protect your baby. I've had a lot of fun with this axe, but have a daughter on the way and need to buy her a crib. Buyer pays shipping. Will be willing to do local pickup if you are in the central Florida area...
