This is an IBANEZ TS9DX TUBESCREAMER. It’s in near mint condition and comes in the original box with the manual. It has controls for Drive, Level, Mode and Tone. The cool feature about this particular series of Tubescreamer is that in the Mode switch you can have the regular TS9 sound, a hot TS9 sound and a Turbo TS9 sound. This Ibanez is in mint condition. Only a few scratches on the back electric panel, otherwise, it is pristine. It has really good action and sounds great. If I didn’t have to, I wouldn’t sell it. The rebate/refund will be $130.00. Rare Ibanez Japan AF220 Archtop Thinline Fully Hollow Guitar in Excellent Condition. These were only made for two years 1998-99 and very few were imported to the USA. This is the Top of the Line Ibanez AF Series Guitar and is better than the other Top of the Line Ibanez AF200, which I also owned. The guitar is quite light in weight, making it comfortable to hold and play. The sound on this one is Loud and Resonant Acoustically, and Phat plugged in. Plugged in, you can do anything from George Benson to Rockabilly. The guitar reminds me a lot of a Gibson Birdland Thinline, but without that pesky cramped 23 5/8 scale. The original price on this without a case was $1899.00. Please see the last Picture with a dime to show the relative size. Frankly, you won’t notice them unless you actively look for them. The Epiphone Japan case is made for a deeper Archtop Guitar. It fits the 16 Inch Body very well, but is a tad too deep for a Thinline Guitar. I used a small folded hand towel underneath the guitar which raises it about 1/2 Inch, making for a very good fit. The case is in Excellent Condition, very sturdy but has a 1/2 inch dent in the lid. Has no effect on the guitar or its protection. If you decide to get another case, any ES335 style case will fit it. This scale length gives a tighter feel, and can be made easier for string bending by going down one size in strings…So, where .11’s sound best for 24.75 scales, .10’s would be the preferred string size for 25.50, allowing for great tone and comfortable bends. The sound is purer and clean tones are more piano like. 25.00 is preferred by Carvin and some boutique makers. It is a good compromise between the above two. This is a wonderful guitar with the best of the best hardwarewise (see brochures attached). It has been recently reviewed to the bones and setup at GOEZ guitar in St. Louis and is ready to play. The electronics all work like they should, smoothly and quietly, action is low with no buzzing. Guitar has light scratches, one chip on the headstock, and one ding on the body and a crack on the binding of the lower cutaway (see pictures). The gold plating is worn on bridge and pickup covers, but in very good condition on the tuners. All wear is what you can expect in a 32 year old used guitar. Other than that cosmetic issues; the finish is in very good shape, neck is straight, frets are plenty of lifetime, and the guitar has not replacements or repairs, it works perfect and is 100% original. These guitars where the high end of Ibanez at that time, and have the best materials and craftsmanship possible you just need to see it and play it to realize that you are in front of a top quality instrument. Ergonomics have been taken into account besides playability when this guitar was deigned; neck and body are very comfortable, and weight is fine.
